Meet the artists

Courtney

Co-Owner/Tattoo Artist

Courtney has been tattooing since 2011, specializing in black-and-gray and fine line work. She co-founded 1Eleven Tattoo Collective with her longtime collaborator, Joana, building a studio centered on trust, creativity, and connection. For Courtney, tattooing is more than ink on skin—it’s about collaboration, meaningful expression, and creating art that reflects each client’s individuality. Her experience over more than a decade has shaped her style and her approach to life, inspiring her interest in yoga and mindfulness, which now balance and enrich her work and daily practice.

Joana

Co-Owner/Tattoo Artist

Joana has been tattooing professionally since 2011 and has built her career on the belief that tattoos are living stories carried on the skin. She co-founded the studio with her best friend and business partner, Courtney, creating a space where trust, artistry, and connection are at the heart of the experience. Joana is especially drawn to fine line and black-and-gray work, often exploring themes of astrology, spirituality, and all things cosmic. Whether it’s a small, delicate piece or a large-scale project, she approaches every tattoo with intention and care, honoring each client’s journey with designs that hold deep meaning.
